From sweeping country gardens to sky-high city balconies, we believe plants are the life force of any outdoor space. Careful selection and thoughtful placement are key to creating planting schemes that thrive and stand the test of time.
We design planting-led gardens, planting schemes and landscapes, working across a range of scales and contexts. Our work brings together spatial design, horticultural knowledge and a deep understanding of plants to create outdoor spaces that feel cohesive, characterful and enduring.
The Planting Design Collective is all about collaboration. We work with both private garden owners and other businesses, including garden designers, landscapers, property developers and public gardens.
The Planting Design Collective is a trio of garden and planting designers, Sally-Anne Rees, Kate Campbell and William Murray. We met while studying planting design at the London College of Garden Design and formally established the Collective in 2024, collaborating on a planted border for the RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival.Working together allows us to combine our individual skill sets, design approaches and horticultural knowledge, enabling us to take on distinctive, ambitious and rewarding planting-led projects.
